We work in the presence of the client. Yes, by the way, we insist on your presence during the work. Car owners often admire the coherence of our work, which lasts only 8-9 hours with each car. Our team consists of a large number of skilled professionals and we usually do 4-5 cars at a time. In this case, the owners can exchange impressions about their favorite cars and our work in the cozy surroundings of our Specialty Center. All material is cut and warmed up beforehand. Before the car arrives, we cut all the soundproofing material according to our proprietary templates and put it in a special heater that keeps it at a temperature of 50 degrees.
The hood of Infiniti QX70 is treated according to the standard scheme: vibration isolation Dark D3 on the metal hood, and noise isolator FPU on the underside of the standard thermal insulation.
Roof of Infiniti QX70. Standard equipment of any Infiniti FX and QX70 includes a sunroof. The surface of the sunroof and its mechanisms (skids) occupy more than half of the roof and its treatment is impractical. Only the back part of the roof is free for coating. If the owner wishes, we will do this operation, but as a rule, it is not required on cars with a sunroof. On this car we did to show the roof to our readers, but again, we repeat that this will not have a meaningful effect.
The available rear part of the roof is treated with Comfort mat Dark D3 vibrodampfer and tightly rolled with special rollers.
There is even less room for treatment with a noise absorber on the roof, because it should not be over the departing glass of the sunroof. We used a 10 millimeter Felton noise absorber.
Noise insulation of Infiniti QX70 doors. Careful disassembly of the door trims exposes the clean and sound metal of the Infiniti. Door disassembly and reassembly is performed by the same technician, which eliminates errors. And, of course, we do it without a single hitch on the door trims.
We treat outer metal of the door with effective vibration isolator Comfort Mat Dark D3, 3 mm thick, and roll it with a special roller. Fortunately, the access to the door is very convenient. And if access is difficult in any car, we have a large arsenal of special tools, which will allow you to do the work qualitatively.
Then we use a sound insulator based on the Comfort mat Vision foam rubber. The beauty of this material is that it is 100% waterproof and has no problem with enduring the aggression of the environment for as long as you want.
The next step is to move to the frame of the door and in the same way we vibro-insulate it with Comfort mat Dark D3.
As the final layer under the door trim we put an effective sound absorber – Comfort mat Soft with pyramids. This visco-elastic material with special impregnation allows not only absorbing noise, but also providing a tight and reliable fit of the door trim without squeaks and crickets. We go with the times and use only cutting-edge materials to meet the highest requirements of premium soundproofing.
Noise isolation of the floor, trunk and wheel arches of the Infiniti QX70. Disassembling the floor and trunk on the Infiniti looks no more complicated than on any other “Japanese” car. However, the car has a rather complex shape of the floor, excluding large flat spans and dotted with amplifiers and wiring harnesses, why glue the floor is not as pleasant as on other cars. Nevertheless, our masters do their work qualitatively and expertly.
In order to keep the interior in order and not to damage anything, we take out the seats, carpets, console and trim. Then degrease the metal and only then proceed to the installation. Recall that the materials we have are already pre-cut and heated in the oven evenly throughout the thickness to 50 degrees, which allows us to not be distracted from heating each sheet and do not waste energy.
Floor vibration isolation on any car is done at us only with the most powerful Comfort mat Ultra Loker, which has a thickness of 5.2 mm. This material has the highest efficiency rating, as well as high adhesion to the metal and is built on a modern formula that allows the sheet to be 30% lighter than similar material from other manufacturers. Vibration isolation of the floor at us is done simultaneously by 2-4 masters. The material does not even have time to cool down!
And by the way, this is a real exclusive. Avto-Loker is the largest specialty center in Russia, highly specialized in sound insulation of cars, so only for us has a separate line, producing exclusive noise absorbers with our logo. This is an unprecedented case in the production of soundproofing materials in Russia.
The wheel arches also receive the most powerful and hot Ultra Loker 5.2 mm. We also process the wheel arches from the side of the fenders, as well as the fenders themselves. We get up high into the feet of the front passengers. These places are sources of noise from the engine shield and wheel arches.
For laying the sound absorber on the floor we choose the top and dense 6mm Comfort mat Pro Lock and use it in conjunction with Comfort mat Lock, which is put on the relief and critical for the subsequent assembly of the interior.
You can never imagine modern soundproofing without a thick and dense sound reflective membrane. This allows you to significantly increase the effectiveness of the sound attenuator due to the heaviness and density of the membrane itself. We use Comfort mat Blocker, which we exclusively obtain in a thickness of 4 mm. (vs. 3 mm. for retail in Russia).
The wheel arches also get a good sandwich of materials, which will allow fighting for silence in the cabin.
Do not forget about the trunk door. We damp the metal, and treat the trim with relief noise muffler with special impregnation from Comfort mat.
After installing all the sound absorbing materials, we proceed to assembling the car interior. At any stage, the owner, who is with us in the working room, can see our work and make sure of its quality.
Additional Service: Noise isolation of wheel arches of Infiniti QX70 from the outside of the body is not included in the cost of the interior and paid extra. To treat the arch from the outside, we remove the wheel and the factory undercoat, and then get access to the metal arch, which is worth pre-grease. We will use only 100% moisture-resistant materials that will not come off under any circumstances.
Metal wheel arch processed hot and strong Comfort Mat Ultra Loker 5.2 mm, the same that we used on the floor and arches in the cabin. High-quality rolling is only possible with metal rollers, which literally dig into the material.
We isolated from the sound the wheel arch with the help of foam rubber Comfort mat Vision 6mm, which was also used as the second layer in the doors. This is a 100% moisture-proof material, moreover, it is very effective, because it is not EPR, but real FPU.
